Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro with 5G, 120Hz refresh rate, and removable battery is now official

A 5G phone designed for challenging work environments?

The device has a durable MIL-STD-810H8 certified design, IP68 rating, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus +. According to Samsung, it is created to withstand severe weather, drops, and other hazards in some working conditions.

In front, the XCover6 Pro sports a 6.6-inch PLS LCD with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. With its increased touch sensitivity, the display on the XCover6 Pro can be easily operated even with gloves or wet hands. 

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage which is expandable via microSD. It also supports both 5G and Wi-Fi 6E for connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro also packs a 4,050 mAh battery that can be replaced anytime by the user since the device has a removable back panel. It can be charged up to 15W with the bundled cable, but the charging block is sold separately.

For cameras, this one features a dual camera set-up consisting of a 50MP main cam with f/1.8 aperture and 8MP ultrawide snapper with f/2.2 aperture. Meanwhile, it has a 13MP shooter housed in a waterdrop notch in front.

The Galaxy XCover6 Pro will run on Android 12 together with One UI. 

Other features include speaker boost mode, a headphone jack, Samsung DeX support, and a programmable push-to-talk button.

The phone measures 168.8x79.9x9.9 mm and weighs 235 grams.

Currently, Samsung has not revealed the pricing for this new device. The company just announced that it will be available from July in select markets across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. 

Samsung is expected to introduce the XCover6 Pro on July 13 alongside the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro tablet.
