In a recent Facebook post, Maya shared that users of rival app GCash can use its QR to pay for goods and other services.
According to Maya and QRPh, this service is available to any of its 180,000 partner merchants nationwide.
To use this feature, you must open the GCash app, scan the Maya QR, and Pay via QRPh-enabled bank and cash apps. The user will receive a confirmation in the app and via SM for the successful transaction.
Some of the QRPh-enabled apps and e-wallet apps using Maya are BDO, Metrobank, RCBC, Robinsons Bank, Unionbank, and Asia United Bank.
Maya said that more banks and apps will be added soon.
