The former Huawei subsidiary recently unveiled a new mid-ranger dubbed X40 during a special event in China.
As the successor to the X30, the device sports premium specifications like a curved display, high refresh rate, virtual RAM, a Snapdragon processor, and others.
In front, the X40 5G features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 2400 x 1080-pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits brightness, and 10-bit color depth. There's also a punch-hole cut-out in the center for the front camera and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Inside, the Honor X40 5G runs with a Snapdragon 695 processor, coupled with 12GB RAM (can be expanded up to 7GB RAM) and 256GB internal memory. It also comes with a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 40W fast charging.
On the back, it also got a circular camera module that comes with a dual camera system. The setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper.
The HONOR X40 5G runs on Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 OS. It is currently available in Colorful Cloud, Mo Yuqing, and Magic Night Black colors.

The device is now available in the Chinese market but HONOR has not confirmed yet whether it intends to release the X40 5G globally.
