Garmin outs the Venu Sq 2 series with AMOLED screen and 12-day battery life!

A few days ago, Garmin announced Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music during the IFA 2022.

Two new sleek-looking wearables from Garmin

The lineup comprises a regular variant and a Music Edition. Both smartwatches apparently have some design changes but notable upgrades compared to the previous versions. 

The Garmin Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music Edition boast a squarish dial and come in three sizes: 40mm, 43mm, and 45mm. On the right side of the wearables are two physical buttons. 

The watches also have a fiber-reinforced polymer case and Gorilla Glass 3. Allegedly, they are water-resistant up to 5 meters. 

The company equipped the Garmin Venu Sq 2 series with a 1.41-inch AMOLED display with 320 x 360 resolution. The source claimed that the display supports always-on-display (AOD) functionality, superior color reproduction, and reduced power consumption.

Another significant improvement is the battery life since Garmin also said that the Venu Sq 2 series can last up to 11 days between charges. Meanwhile, it is also packed with health and fitness features such as a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, all-day stress, sleep, menstrual cycle tracker, and body battery energy monitor. 

The wearables also feature tracking for more than 25 indoor and outdoor sports. With 1,600 available, users can curate their own workout routines. For safety, the smartwatches enable users to send a message with their live location to pre-selected contacts if they need any help.

Other features include text and email notifications, built-in GPS, and support for contactless payments via Garmin Pay. Only the Venu Sq 2 has the capacity to store 500 songs onboard through Spotify Deezer, and Amazon Music.

The Sq 2 series arrived in several pretty colors

The Garmin Venu Sq 2 comes in Shadow Grey, Cream Gold, and Cool Mint colors. As for the Venu Sq 2 Music Edition, it is sold in Black, Slate, Ivory, Peach Gold, Grey, and Cream Gold.
