Razer teamed up with famous luxury watchmaker Panerai to continue their partnership that started in 2021. The main purpose of the partnership is to create limited-edition luxury wristwatches to help preserve the ocean.

The Luminor Quantar Razer Special Edition wristwatch is made to support marine species research focusing on manta rays. The P.900 caliber movement, which has 23 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour, anti-shock protection, 100 meters of water resistance, a date, and a power reserve of 72 hours, powers this series of watches from Italian watchmaker Panerai. It has a 40mm case diameter.

The PAM01272 and other Luminor Quaranta models, as well as the Luminor Quaranta Razer Special Edition, share the same aesthetic. The second hand is done in Razer green, although the watch has a matte black "sandwich dial", which is a lume plate underneath the dial with perforations for numerals in indexes, and matching hands.

The watch band is stitched in matching Razer green and constructed from recycled polyethylene terephthalate that was taken from post-consumer plastic bottles. The watch casing, however, stands out because it is made of eSteel, a cutting-edge material that is formed of recycled steel and coated with diamond-like carbon material, and provides great scratch resistance.

Even the Super-LumiNova that glows on the hands and indexes deviates from the customary pale green to a darker Razer green. The three-headed snake logo from Razer is printed on the dial, but because it is black and has a small sheen, it doesn't detract from the watch's otherwise simple design. The watch specifications and edition number are also etched on the case back, along with an engraving of THS.

Pricing has not been announced yet. However, Luminor Quaranta models have an SRP of USD 7,400. Now, the Razer Special Edition will definitely go higher than that due to the diamond-like carbon coating and due to only having 500 numbered watches expected to be made.
