TCL 40R 5G was just announced as a new budget device with an MTK Dimensity 700 5G octa-core processor, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

TCL 40R 5G features

It features a polycarbonate body in Stardust Purple and Starlight Black. In front, it has a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a 1612 x 720 HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 70 percent NTSC color gamut, 400 nit peak brightness, 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a V-notch for the selfie camera.

Inside, it has the 2.2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G octa-core processor, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging. For cameras, it has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 main camera + 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor + 2MP macro camera with LED flash. It also has an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

It runs Android 12 out of the box with TCL UI 4.0. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-band WiFi, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and USB-C.
