With its improved glass composition, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is less prone to shatter when dropped on hard surfaces like concrete. Although it was released two years ago, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 still has the same scratch resistance as its predecessor.

According to internal research by Corning, 84 percent of consumers in China, India, and the United States ranked durability above the brand itself as the most crucial element in making a purchase decision.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 resisted one-meter drops on concrete during lab tests. Other manufacturers' competitive aluminosilicate glasses typically shatter when dropped from a height of half a meter or less. Corning said that Gorilla Glass Victus 2 had four times better scratch resistance than equivalent aluminosilicate and could withstand falls of up to two meters onto the asphalt.
