ICYMI: Moto G Play (2023) comes with a 90Hz screen and Helio G37 chip

Motorola has recently announced the Moto G Play (2023), the newest budget phone in the US.

This handset arrived in a polycarbonate 3D curved body with a matte-like Deep Indigo paint finish and an IP52 water-repellent rating. In front, it highlights a 6.5-inch LCD (IPS TFT) screen with HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution and a top-center notch for the 5MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, it is unexciting. The handset only uses the 12nm Helio G37 chipset. The reason why the company chose this chip is to enable a 90Hz refresh rate for its display.

Motorola paired this with 3GB of RAM, 32GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 10W charging.

For cameras, you will find a 16MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro cam, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The device also has a fingerprint sensor found on the "M" logo behind, WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and Android 12 OS.

The device is priced at USD 169.99 (around PHP 9.3K before taxes). There is yet to be any info if it will be available in the Philippines.
