The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 features a flatter form factor for the charging case. It has a stemmed design with silicone tips. In terms of hardware, it features 11mm MelodyBoose Dual Drivers for deeper and fuller bass and 6mm tweeters for clearer vocals and a wider sound stage. These are co-developed with Dynaudio. It also supports Dolby Atmos.

To improve the relationship between the low, mid, and high frequencies while taking into account the detail of the voices and high frequencies, the woofer's dome is fitted with a crystal polymer diaphragm and a distinct dome and edge design. To improve the flexibility and texture of the low frequencies, a silicone edge is added to the woofer.

It also has better Active Noise Cancellation with up to 48dB depth and 4000MHz width. It is touted to be able to eliminate unwanted external sounds without compromising the original audio signal and quality. It also has LHDC 5.0 with a transmission rate of 1Mbps. If a ColorOS-compatible gadget is being used, it can also measure cervical spine pressure and posture. Dust and water resistance are rated at IP55.

Up to 39 hours of continuous playback with the case and up to 9 hours of stand-alone playback without ANC are guaranteed by the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Additionally, the case allows wireless charging.
