MWC 2023: This is the new logo of Nokia!

In Barcelona, telecom equipment maker Nokia revealed that it is changing its brand identity for the first time in almost 60 years with a new logo.

Nokia's new logo looks more futuristic signaling a shift in strategy while the company focuses on aggressive growth. The new logo comprises five different shapes to form the brand's word.

In an interview with Reuters, Nokia Chief Executive Pekka Lundmark said that while smartphones were associated, they are now a business technology company.

The company's primary focus is to sell gear to other businesses. But, it still aims to grow its service provider business.

To those who do not know, several major technology firms have been partnering with Nokia to sell private 5G networks and gear for automated factories to customers, mostly in the manufacturing sector.

This move is likely a part of Lundmarks' strategy after taking over the company in 2020: reset, accelerate, and scale. With the reset stage now complete, Lundmark said the second stage is beginning.

Now, it will begin its second stage.
