TECNO Spark Go 2023 w/ USB-C charging + f/1.85 cam arrives in PH, price starts at PHP 3,499!

After appearing on its official website last January, the new TECNO Spark Go 2023 is now listed online in the Philippines.

A new budget wonder?

A new solid contender under PHP 3.7K!

The listing showed that it is available in 2 variants and is priced as low as PHP 3,499 for the 3GB RAM variant in Philippine Pesos. If you want to opt for the beefier 4GB RAM model, you will only need to add a mere PHP 200 at PHP 3,699.

For the price, it appears to be a steal on paper.

The design

The device arrived in a unique-looking back design with stylish triangular patterns and a big rounded square camera hump on the left side. Its frame is also a bit squarish reminding us of more expensive phones. You can get it in Endless Black, Nebula Purple, and Uyuni Blue colorways. This device even has an IPX2 water splash resistance rating.

In front, it is using a 6.56-inch 2.5D curved LCD (IPS) screen with HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the 5MP f/2.0 selfie camera. It also has a Dual micro slit Flashlight if you want to take selfies in the dark.

Type-C

Inside, it is powered by the 2.0GHz 12nm MTK Helio A22 quad-core processor with a PowerVR-class GPU, 3GB or 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh big battery capacity. TECNO is also claiming that it is the "first" in its class with a reversible USB-C charging port. But note that we've seen other makers utilize Type-C in the PHP 4K range before.

The rest of the specs

For cameras, the Spark Go 2023 is also using a 13MP f/1.85 main shooter with a PDAF focus paired with a secondary shooter for depth sensing. The f/1.85 aperture is fairly fast and bright for an ultra-budget device which should allow this phone to take respectable images.

To make things even sweeter, TECNO added a rear-facing fingerprint reader for security.
