HUAWEI Mate X3 foldable w/ water-resistance, satellite tech launched!

Chinese conglomerate HUAWEI released a slur of high-end devices today and one of them is the Mate X3 featuring several upgrades.

This is the 3rd iteration of the brand's foldable series highlighting an ultrathin body at 11.08mm when folded and 5.3mm if unfolded.

It also has a triple camera system with 50MP super-sensing camera + 13MP ultra-wide and 12MP periscope zoom with OIS.

Another worth pointing out is the two-way Beidou satellite messaging allowing users to send or receive messages via satellite in any remote area.

The phone features two displays. First is the outer OLED panel with a 6.4-inch size, 2504 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, P3 wide color gamut, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and 8MP selfie camera. This is also protected by the Kunlun Glass a new reinforcement feature that makes the screen extra durable.

Next is the inner OLED panel with a 7.8-inch, 2496 x 2224 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, and another 8MP selfie shooter.

Inside, it is powered by the 4nm 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor with New-Adreno GPU, 8 or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, 4,800mAh battery (5,060mAh  silicon carbon battery for the Collector Edition) with 66W SuperCharge, 50W wireless, 7.5W reverse wireless charging.

Other features are HUAWEI Histen-supported stereo speakers, IPX8 rating for water resistance, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G LTE, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For software, the phone runs the new HarmonyOS 3.1
