Camera king return? HUAWEI to launch the P60 series on March 23, Mate X3 to tag along

It's official. Tech giant HUAWEI today announced the Mate X3 foldable and camera-focused P60 series on March 23 at 2:30 PM Beijing time.

HUAWEI's Weibo teaser shows a photo of the ocean with a semi-circle wave on top and a triangle wave below.

The P60 Series could consist of the vanilla P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Ultra models.

Based on earlier leaks, the device will feature powerful camera hardware boasting the new XMAGE 2.0 photography tech. It might feature a 50MP Sont IMX888 main cam, 50MP Sony IMX858 extreme wide-angle sensor, and a 64MP OV64B 3.5x optical zoom.

This camera system might also feature the 10-stop adjustable variable aperture and new color improvements for a range of real-time photography scenes.

The P60 Pro might come with an IP68-rated body, 6.6-inch OLED 120Hz screen with 1920Hz PWM dimming, 4G Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship processor, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 4.0 internal storage, 5,000mAh battery, USB-C 100W charging station, and 50W wireless charging.

Meanwhile, the details about the Mate X3 are still very limited at the moment. Leaks suggest that the device will feature a 4,800mAh battery capacity, USB-C 66W fast charging, 50MP Sony IMX766 main cam, Sony IMX688 ultra-wide, and an IMX351 periscope camera. It might also come with satellite connectivity.

The devices are expected to run with the latest version of HarmonyOS.
