vivo has introduced the new Y100A 5G smartphone with a 90Hz refresh rate screen and a 64MP rear primary camera in India!

A new powerhouse Y-series?

Smartphone manufacturer vivo has silently introduced a new member of the Y-series smartphones in India. 

The new vivo Y100A features a 6.38-inch AMOLED screen with a 2400 x 1080 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and it supports HDR10+. Around the panel are slim bezels with a notch and a thick chin bezel.

Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB of storage and a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging. It supports vivo's Extended RAM feature too.

At the back of the phone is a 64MP f/1.79 primary camera with OIS and a pair of 2MP f/2.4 cameras with an LED flash.  on the notch is a 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

The back glass panel features the color-changing tech that the company introduced in its prior smartphone releases.

Other features include USB-C, Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi, GPS, OTG, dual Nano SIM support, and microSD card expansion.

The phone measures 158.91 x 73.53 x 7.73mm and weighs 181 grams.

Lastly, it comes in either Twilight Gold, Metal Black or Pacific Blue colorways.

As of this article's writing, vivo India has yet to reveal the price despite the product listing being online.
