Apple M2 Ultra Geekbench scores surfaces in a listing

Apple recently unveiled the new Mac Pro bearing the M2 Ultra chip and now a Geekbench listing was spotted revealing its scores.

To recall, Apple's flagship Mac chip features a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU and is paired with an ultra-fast 192GB unified memory with speeds of 800 gigabytes per second. While it also has a 32-core Neural Engine to handle machine learning tasks.

With those specs, the M2 Ultra scored 2,837 points on single core and 21,730 points in the multi-core category.

Mac Pro 2023

Based on the brand's claims, the M2 Ultra processor brings up to 20 percent faster CPU capabilities versus the predecessor M1 Ultra making it the faster chip yet from them. While the benchmark performance shows that the SoC is 10 percent faster than its predecessor in both single-core and multi-core test results.

Apple said at the WWDC presentation that the new Mac Pro is up to three times faster than the Intel-based model, but only in select "real-world pro workflows like video transcoding and 3D simulation."

Again, the Mac Pro 2023 is expected to go on sale in the US first starting tomorrow (June 13) but apparently, it's not stated when it will be available for other markets.
