DOTR says supply of driver’s license cards to normalize by September

The DOTR says it will be able to soon deliver all pending driver licenses as the supply of plastic cards normalizes.

130K unissued licenses to be delivered

According to DOTR Sec. Jaime Bautista, the government will be able to complete its delivery of unissued licenses by September as the supply of cards starts to come in.

Bautista said that e-DLs can be used as alternative identification cards, noting that the driver’s license holders must also have a physical copy.

Motorists who were initially issued with paper licenses may get their physical license cards by August or September, Bautista said.
