The nearby Share stable version for Windows is now official!

The Nearby Share previously entered beta testing with 1.7 million users joining the phase. Now the the American tech giant announces its stable version.

As the name implies, you can seamlessly share your files between Android phones and Windows. A pretty handy tool if you don't have your cables or if you're laptop has fewer ports on it.

Google claims that there have been 50 million files were shared between PC and Android devices since the launch of the beta.

The company continued that the stable version includes an estimate of time for file transfers letting users know how long it will take as well as an image preview function within device notifications. Google implemented this to ensure that users are sharing the right file.

Finally, the firm says they are collaborating with HP to pre-install the Nearby Share app on "select Windows PCs like the Dragonfly Pro.
