Big battery and durable entry-level
The phone arrived with a familiar design that reminded us of the Huawei Nova series. It has a pill-shaped camera island with golden rings on the main sensor. The phone also came in four color options: green, White, Black, and Pink.
Additionally, the device features an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as Gold Label five-star drop resistance certification.

In front, it uses a 6.77-inch LCD (IPS) screen with HD+ 1610 x 720 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, DC dimming, and multiple eye protection modes.
Inside, the device uses a 2.3GHz 6nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 octa-core chip with Adreno 619 GPU, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB storage options.
For the battery, the phone features a very large 7,000mAh battery capacity and charges using a 45W charging brick.
In terms of cameras, the HONOR Play 70 Plus uses a 50MP main shooter + auxiliary lens + LED flash. For selfies,
Other features are stereo speakers with 400 percent volume and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Connectivity features are WiFi, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual SIM.
For OS, the phone runs Android 15 with Magic OS 9.0 out of the box.
China price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

HONOR Play 70 Plus 12GB/256GB - CNY 1,399 (around PHP 11,199)
HONOR Play 70 Plus 12GB/512GB - CNY 1,599 (around PHP 12,799)
The HONOR Play 70 is going to be available in China starting August 8. No word yet for other countries at the moment.
