Seiko drops real Pepsi watches, a swipe at Rolex? Priced from PHP 21.6K

Seiko partnered with food and beverage giant PepsiCo to launch the first limited edition Seiko 5 Sports x Pepsi collaboration.

Real Pepsi watches

According to its website, one of the two Pepsi watches is inspired by the heritage design of Seiko 5 Sports and the iconic blue, white, and red colors of Pepsi logos from the 1990s.

The watch called SRPL99 uses a 38mm case designed to fit most wrists comfortably, paired with a silver-toned white dial and white indexes frame in a blue colorway. Seiko added that at the 6 o'clock position, the typeface from the 1990s Pepsi logo is faithfully reproduced with its original proportions.

Inside, it is powered by the Caliber 4R36 automatic movement with 24 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve. It also arrived in a stainless steel strap. The watch crystal is hardlex.

Seiko SSK047

The other version is based on the updated Pepsi logo with a bold blue and black color scheme. It uses a larger 42mm case with Caliber 4R34 movement and a GMT function that allows the hour hand and the 24-hour hand to display two time zones simultaneously.

This is also the first SKX-series GMT watch (SSK047) to feature a silicone strap. The "PEPSI" is embossed on the 12 o'clock side, while the Pepsi logo is placed at the tip of the 6 o'clock side. 

It also comes with 10 bar water resistance, 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance, hardlex crystal, LumiBrite on the hands and index(es).

Both arrived in cool-looking, Pepsi-can-inspired watch containers. Each features the Pepsi logo at its center with "LIMITED EDITION" text and a unique serial number.

We see this move playful swipe at Rolex's long-standing "Pepsi" aesthetic, without Rolex ever having formal ties to the soda brand.

Both watches will be released in September 2025. Seiko said that there are only 7,000 units available worldwide per model.
