Samsung outs Galaxy A17 5G: Exynos 1330, 6.7-inch AMOLED, 6 years OS updates

Samsung’s Galaxy A17 has appeared in listings from multiple retailers in Europe before its official announcement.

The phone arrived with a traditional Samsung design and in a sleek form factor. It comes in three color choices, namely Black, Blue, and Gray. Additionally, it sports an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

The display

In front, the phone uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Inside, the Galaxy A17 is powered by a 2.4GHz 5nm Exyboss 1330 chip with Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. It is paired with 4GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB memory options, and has a 5,000mAh battery with USB-C 25W wired charging.

For cameras, the phone uses a 50MP main shooter paired with a 5MP ultra-wide snapper and a 2MP macro helper.

The rest mentioned are loudspeakers and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity features are WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

Finally, it runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 skin on top. It also has a promise of 6 years of OS updates and security patches.

Samsung Galaxy A17 8GB/256GB - EUR 309 (around PHP 20.6K)

No word yet about its official launch and availability, but it is already listed in some European countries like Spain and France.
