OnePlus 16 w/ Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 + custom chips will launch on October 12

OnePlus confirmed that its upcoming flagship will officially launch in China on October 12, 2026 at its own gaming conference.

As expected, the handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip. But to make gaming and overall experience better, the company also added a custom display chip, dedicated touch response chip, and another connectivity chip (P4, T3, and G3 chips).

The result? OnePlus boast that it has up to 185Hz refresh rate and 185 FPS gaming in several titles like  Arena Breakout, Nizhan: Future, Naruto Mobile, and Peace Elite.

System-wide, it has a 165Hz refresh rate.

Earlier this week, the company also confirmed that it will feature an upgraded camera system which consist of a 200MP main shooter, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP 3x tele, and a 50MP selfie cam.

Colors available are Dark Forest, Mars Masterpiece, and w/ Tomorrow Starlight w/ Interstellar Lighting Effect.

The phone is also rumored to carry a titan 9,000mAh battery. It runs on ColorOS 16 skin based on Android 16.
