Confirmed: OnePlus 16 to feature a 200MP + 50MP 3x + 50MP UW + 50MP selfie cameras

According to its Weibo teaser, the handset is its first-ever smartphone packed with a massive 200MP camera designed to capture ultra-clear images, a big upgrade coming from the 50MP main shooter of the OnePlus 15. It also arrived with an upgraded Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto, which ensures distant landscapes and group shots remain sharp and vivid.

• 200MP f/1.6 1/1.4-inch large sensor
• 50MP 116-degree ultra-wide
• 50MP 3x optical zoom
• 50MP selfie cam w/ AF

Moreover, the company noted that it will pack the next-gen LUMO Imaging System to optimize its light capture, colors, and details.

The colors

Apart from the camera specs, OnePlus also revealed the back design and color options of the phone. It still closely mirrors the OnePlus 15, in fresh finishes such as the Dark Forest (black), Mars Masterpiece (light orange, patterned), and Tomorrow Starlight (grey, patterned).

The "Tomorrow Starlight" version features the Nothing-inspired Interstellar Lighting Effect, an orange‑yellow glow that can either blink or remain steadily illuminated, depending on the alert.

The upcoming OnePlus 16 boasts a blazing 165Hz system‑wide refresh rate and is rumored to carry a huge 9,000mAh battery. It runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 flagship chip.
