Price hike part of efforts to innovate services
Spotify has announced that it will be rolling out price hikes for Premium subscriptions in various markets, which will also affect the Philippines.
According to the music streaming platform, the price increases will affect markets across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific.
We're increasing the price of Premium Individual so that we can continue to innovate on our product offerings and features, and bring you the best experience," Spotify said in its announcement.
In its
updated pricing, the monthly individual subscription is now worth PHP 169 from PHP 149; the family plan is now PHP 279 from PHP 239; the premium duo plan is now at PHP 229 from PHP 199; and the premium student plan is now priced at PHP 85 from PHP 75 per month.

For those who do not wish to continue their Premium subscription, they can always cancel via their account page or visit Spotify's support site for questions.
