HONOR intros Pad X9: 11.5-inch 120Hz 2K screen, 6x surround speakers, SD685 chip

A day after releasing the Pad X8 Pro in China, HONOR today launched a similar-looking tablet for the international market called the Pad X9.

The device features a metallic-looking body that is just 6.9 mm slim in Space Gray colorway and an 11.5-inch TFT LCD (IPS) screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 2K 2000 x 1200 resolution, 100 percent sRGB color gamut, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light + Flicker Free certifications, 400 nits max brightness, and 86 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Six (6) surround speakers

Under the hood, the handset is powered by Qualcomm's 6nm 4G chip, the Snapdragon 685 octa-core processor clocked up to 2.6GHz with Adreno 610 GPU. It is paired with 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, a large 7,250mAh Li-Pol battery that can last up to 13 hours of video playback, and USB-C 22.5W fast charging support.

The tablet also has a 5MP f/2.2 camera at the back and in front with up to 1080p video recording. It has HDR, time-lapse photography, timed photography, and selfie mirroring modes.

The other highlight of the tablet is it is sporting "Surround 6 Speakers" that releases the sound from the bottom speaker with a lightweight subwoofer unit that can create a multi-directional sound. It utilizes the HONOR Histen for sound effects as well.

Other features of the tab include WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1 BLE (SBC, AAC, LDAC), and the Android 13 operating system with MagicOS 7.1 skin on top.

It measures 267.3 x 167.4 x 6.9 mm and weighs 495 grams.
