ICYMI: OnePlus Nord Buds 2r unveiled: 12.4mm dynamic drivers, IP55 rating and up to 38-hour battery!

OnePlus announces the Nord Buds 2r, a slightly lower version of the Nord Buds 2.

The Nord series usually are geared for budget consumers and thats the case with this one as well. The difference in the 2r is that it comes without the ANC whereas the other one has it.

To compensate for the lack of ANC, OnePlus replaced it with AI call noise cancellation on its two microphones.

The buds and their charging case

Moving forward, the earbuds feature 12.4mm dynamic drivers and connect via Bluetooth 5.0 w/ AAC or SBC codecs. OnePlus notes that the drivers can deliver deep thumping bass and dynamic vocals.

Meanwhile, you can tune them on the Sound Master Equalizer using the Hey Melody application which can be downloaded on the PlayStore.

The battery life

According to the brand it can deliver up to 38 hours of music if the charging case is included. However, it will be 8 hours per bud.

Lastly, it has an IP55 rating as protection from minimal splashes or dust.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 2r is now available in India. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, it will be available as a FREE bundle for the OnePlus Nord 3 if you pre-order the smartphone (July 14 to 20). No word yet for the official pricing.
