According to PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco, the PHP 3 million budget for its latest logo was also spent on the winning bidder’s other deliverables.
I don't think the critics or the masses were aware. Hindi lamang ₱3 million yung logo lang. There are so many other deliverables na ipagkakaloob ng designer tulad po ng mga manual, he said, based on a CNN Philippines report.
Tengco assured the public the new logo will be used by PAGCOR in its properties.
Gagamitin po iyan sa mga stationaries. Gagamitin iyan sa mga envelopes. So mali yung pagiisip na 'yung ₱3 million ay para sa logo lang, he said.
PAGCOR recently unveiled its new logo, which quickly caught the attention of the public.
Some alleged that the design was plagiarized, while some criticized the amount of public money used for it.
PAGCOR has
denied the plagiarism allegation, and has said it is investigating the source of "this malicious and baseless campaign."
Several lawmakers have also filed a resolution seeking to investigate the controversial logo.
