PAGCOR denies new logo was plagiarized
PAGCOR has issued a statement regarding plagiarism allegations regarding its new logo.

After PAGCOR unveiled its new logo, it was immediately hit with controversy. Some questioned the worth of the design which was PHP 3 million.
Another issue raised by some was it was allegedly copied from the logo of the website "Tripper."
The agency has addressed this issue in a statement.
The allegation made against PAGCOR is entirely false and driven by malicious intent. Throughout its operations, PAGCOR has consistently upheld the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. The agency remains dedicated to fostering a safe and thriving gaming industry in the country, it said.
Based on images circulating online, the logos of PAGCOR and Tripper did appear similar, except that the former has colors blue and red, while the latter has light blue.
Tripper's website can no longer be accessed.
For PAGCOR's part, the agency said it is currently investigating the source of "this malicious and baseless campaign."
It also urged the public to exercise caution as the website appeared to be a phishing site.
The agency urges everyone to be vigilant and to obtain information from credible sources to combat the spread of false narratives and protect themselves from potential scams, PAGCOR added.
