Amazon introduces a 3rd generation of its smart glasses featuring a bunch of improvements.
The new smart glasses offer various lens options available in sunglasses style, blue light filters, and prescription.
The main spotlight revolves around Alexa, Amazon's AI that brings various hands-free controls by using voice commands to play music, podcasts, and audible books from streaming apps. You can also check if you locked the front, turn on/off lights, and set your thermostat when away from your house.
Amazon says this is also equipped with a high-performance speaker driver and redesigned open-ear audio which the brand claims will deliver 3x bass when compared to the previous generation.
The company also talked about the optimized dipole configuration for precise direct sound to users' ears without covering them while lessening what others around you can hear.
Additionally, Amazon claims it can last 6 hours of continuous media playback or up to 14 hours with moderate calls.
Finally, the smart glasses are protected with an IPX4 rating for some water or sweat resistance.
