HONOR introduced the new HONOR X40 GT Racing Edition with an updated design and same specs like Snapdragon 888, 144Hz LCD screen, and 50MP rear camera.
The HONOR X40 GT was originally introduced in October of last year. Nearly a year later, the brand introduced a limited edition model with a racing-inspired design but with nearly identical specifications.
Aside from the external changes, this Racing Edition variant only comes in 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage options.
To recap, the HONOR X40 GT comes with a large 6.81-inch TFT LCD screen with a 2,388 x 1,080 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and a 19.9:9 aspect ratio.
Inside is the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, Adreno 660 GPU, 12GB LPDDR5R RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage, dual nano SIM, and a 4,800mAh with 66W fast charging via USB-C.
At the back of the phone are the 50MP f/1.8 main camera, 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and 2MP f/2.4 macro camera with an LED flash. While in front is the 16MP f/2.45 selfie camera.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, 2x2 MIMO, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, and NFC.
The phone measures 166.1 x 75.8 x 8.45 mm and weighs 199.5 grams.
Lastly, it will be running on Magic UI 7.0 based on Android 12. Users have the option of getting it in either Fantasy Black, Racing Black, or Racing Silver colorways.

It is now available for purchase in China. There is no word yet on International or Philippine availability and pricing.
