HUAWEI V5 Pro Smart TV launched: 85 or 98-inch Super MiniLED panel and Pointing Remote Control!

HUAWEI introduces extremely huge Smart TVs in the form of V5 Pro.

HUAWEI V5 Pro Smart TV launched!

It comes in two sizes—85-inch or the bigger 98-inch. Both of them have Super MiniLED screens with a 95 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, and a 99 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The larger 98-inch model comes with 2000 nits of peak brightness while the 85-inch variant gets 1600 nits instead. The Smart TVs support Honghu image quality upscaling which has the capability to transform 1080p quality into 4K resolution.

Inside it is powered by the Honghu 900 chip. HUAWEI says this silicon brings 200 percent improvement in CPU performance 160 percent improvement in GPU, and 212 percent better NPU performance vs. the predecessor Honghu 818 chip.

In addition, the TV has a 6GB/64GB memory configuration and supports HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.0.

Lingxi Pointing Remote Control

Another highlight would be the HUAWEI Lingxi Pointing Remote Control. The brand claims this is the world's first absolute pointing interaction remote. With this device, Instead of pressing the real buttons, you can browse through or click on the TV content by sliding your finger across the remote's buttons. Additionally, you may play your mobile games on the TV using the air touch feature.

For audio, the V5 Pro uses a HUAWEI Sound Smart speakers system with 3.1.2-channel sound comprising of 30W double bass and 2 x 10W sky channels. It can also be partnered with Sound X Speaker to create a 5.1.2-channel home theater system.

The pre-sale now begins in China while the actual sale will start on September 28th. No word yet for a PH availability. Stay tuned.
