GCash announces its services are back to normal, enhanced security measures implemented!

After multiple reports of GCash being down yesterday, now the financial service app is back to normal.

GCash is back!

According to GCash, they have been continuously rolling out safety and security measures to protect unsecured devices from accessing the app.

While this was being implemented, the app remained operational, but some customers may have experienced intermittent access to certain functions.

GCash mentioned that as of October 9, 7PM, the existing issues have been resolved and all affected services are accessible.  They also noted that its customers can rest assured that their accounts and funds remain secure.

Right now, GCash says they have deployed security enhancements to ensure their clients of the "safest and most secure" experience for their customers.

Meanwhile, the financial service app advised its clients to never share their MPIN and One-time PIN (OTP) with anyone. While also strongly noting that GCash will never send emails or messages with links nor reach out to customers via calls and other messaging platforms.
