Meta services like Facebook and Instagram are currently having a widespread problem.

Facebook, Messenger, and Twitter are down

On X (formerly Twitter), the words "Meta" along with "Facebook" and "Instagram" are trending in the Philippines and other parts of the world including the US as a lot of its users cannot access the popular social media sites as of this writing.

The outage affects many of its users who are using PC browsers and apps on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.

Unfortunately, Facebook users were logged out and could not log in again.

At first, I thought it could be a hacking incident as I couldn't log in even after resetting my password.

Even on Messenger, you cannot chat. Upon opening IG, posts won't load as well.

Many users on X and Reddit claim that they have experienced the same problem.

Meta has yet to release a statement regarding this issue. Hopefully, the outage won't last long as millions of its users rely on these social media platforms to communicate and stay updated among others.

Update: Meta is back!
