Leak: BIS listing hints a possible 1st phone from CMF By Nothing!

Nothing's sub-brand CMF may introduce its first smartphone product based on BIS listing.

CMF to introduce its first smartphone?

CMF By Nothing offers many affordable accessories with minimalist colors like neckbands, earbuds, and even GaN chargers versus its parent company.

Apparently, there's a leak pointing out that the new firm might just make its first entry into the smartphone industry.

Meanwhile, there's a phone with model number "A015" was spotted on India's BIS certification database. Initially, it was looked at as an upcoming Nothing Phone (3) however, the BIS clearly noted it as a CMF product.

If you take a look at the model number naming A015 it also differs from Nothing's standard naming with A063 for Phone (1) and A065 for Phone (2). Leaker says this further adds some weight to the concept of a CMF-branded smartphone.

Given CMF's emphasis on pricing as an affordable substitute to Nothing, the debut of a smartphone is hardly surprising. While CMF products have similar design features to their parent company, they are often simpler and less expensive.

It is going to be fascinating to watch how CMF differentiates itself in the highly competitive affordable smartphone market. Furthermore, it is unclear whether CMF devices will receive the same level of treatment as their Nothing counterparts.
