realme GT Neo6 SE launched: SD 7+ Gen 3, 6,000 nits display, 100W SUPERVOOC!

After numerous leaks, the realme GT Neo6 SE is now officially launched in China.

realme GT Neo6 SE launched as a mid-range contender!

The new GT series phone boasts a minimalistic two-tone color which you can get in either Green or Silver color options. This back panel is made of a misty AG process to mimic a titanium-like diffuse reflection, realme says.

The phone's minimalist design

At the front, you'll notice an ultra-slim bezel 6.78-inch screen that measures 1.94mm. Furthermore, it has up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness making it the highest yet for smartphones. Additionally, it has a resolution of 1.5K, 0.5-120Hz LTPO BOE AMOLED, Pro-XDR, 3+1 low-frequency flicker DC dimming, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glas Victus 2.

The high-brightness display

Inside, it is powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 octa-core chipset, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

For battery, it has a 5,500mAh capacity that charges using USB-C and a 100W SUPERVOOC adaptor. realme claims it can charge up to 50 percent within 12 minutes. There's also a SUPERVOOC S power management chip to handle the charging state.

Furthermore, realme also claimed that it can retain 80 percent battery health even after 1600 charging cycles which is estimated for up to 4 years of use.

In terms of camera, the realme GT Neo6 SE is equipped with the 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS + 8MP f/2.2 IMX355 112-degree ultra-wide angle sensor. For selfies, it has a 32MP f/2.45 Sony IMX615 sensor.

Other features mentioned are the In-Display fingerprint reader, IP65 water and dust resistance rating, stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, large cooling system of 10014mm2 super 10,000-level cooling VC+ mid-frame ice-sealed structure.

Connectivity-wise it has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14 with realme UI 5.0 skin on top.

The phone is now available for order in China and the sale begins April 17, 2024. No word yet for other markets. Meanwhile, realme CEO Sky Li confirmed earlier this year the return of the GT Series to the global stage. Although there's still no info on when is that going to happen.
