vivo X100 Ultra launched: SD8G3, 1-inch 50MP Sony LYT-900, 200MP HP9 with ZEISS lens!

vivo announced its flagship X100 Ultra, apart from the X100s and X100s Pro.

As the main spotlight, this boasts a sophisticated camera setup offering a 1-inch type Sony LYT-900 primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture and gimbal level OIS based on vivo's claims.

The quad cameras with ZEISS coating

It is paired with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 with a size of 1/1.4-inch, f/2.67 aperture, 85mm focal length, up to 3.7x optical zoom, 20x telemacro zoom. It also has CIPA 4.5 telephoto stabilization and features ZEISS T* coating and APO certification for improved clarity and minimized fringing.

The third sensor features a 50MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle with ultra-low distortion and ZEISS T* coating.

The X100 Ultra has vivo's patented BlueImage technology, which addresses typical photographic challenges such as as backlighting and low-light detail retention. Additionally, the gadget is powered by the Vivo V3+ image chip, which allows for 4K portrait video recording.

The display

In terms of display, the phone features a 6.78-inch 3200 x 1440 E7 AMOLED with 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It also has a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the display and a face unlock.

Inside, it has the latest 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU, up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 80W wired USB-C charging and 30W wireless.

For selfies, the phone comes with a 50MP f/2.45 sensor.

Others mentioned are IP69 + IP68 rating, stereo speakers, 3D VC chamber cooling, X-axis linear motor for vibration.

Connectivity features are 5G, 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), dual satellite connection, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14 with OriginOS skin on top.

The vivo X100 Ultra is available via the brand's China website. No word yet if it's going to be available outside of that country.
