vivo X100s, X100s Pro launched: Dimensity 9300+ triple 50MP cameras w/ ZEISS coating, 100W fast charging!

Apart from the vivo X100 Ultra, the brand also announced the X100s and X100s Pro versions.

These handsets are the first to feature the most powerful chip yet from MediaTek which is the 3.4GHz 4nm Dimensity 9300+ octa-core processor with Immortalis G720 GPU and MTK 790 APU for AI.

At the front, both are equipped with 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED screens with 2800 x 1260 resolution, 10-bit colors, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 3,000nits peak brightness, 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

vivo also added pixel compensation technology which extends screen lifespan 2x more than traditional displays. You can distinguish the two as the X100s comes with a flat panel while the Pro has a curved screen.

For storage options, both have 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 memory options.

For battery, the vivo X100s uses a 5,100mAh capacity that charges using 100W while the X100 Pro comes with 5,400mAh with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

For cameras, the X100s features a smaller 50MP primary sensor with f/1.57 aperture + 50MP ultrawide + 50MP periscope sensor.

The X100s Pro comes with a bigger 1/0.98-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 main sensor with f/1.75 aperture, OIS + 50MP ultra-wide camera + 50MP periscope telephoto with OIS. Meanwhile, both are equipped with a 32MP selfie sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Another difference is that the Pro variant uses the vivo V3 imaging chip while the standard version uses the older V2 chip.

Other features noted are IP69 + IPX8 rating so users can submerge the device in water.

Connectivity features are dual 5G, 4G VoLTE, WiFi7 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC and dual SIM.

For OS, these devices run Android 14 with OriginOS 4.0 skin on top.

The vivo X100s and X100s Pro are going to be available starting May 17 in China. Unfortunately, the brand hasn't mentioned availability yet for other markets.
