Snapdragon 4s Gen2 unveiled!

This is a toned-down version of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 but is said to be a more affordable 5G processor.

It is made of a 4nm manufacturing process therefore bringing power efficiency to the table.

As mentioned earlier, it comprises eight cores, all of which are down by 200MHz. This means the 2x Cortex-A78 now has a peak clock speed of 2.0GHz while the 6x Cortex-A55 is down to 1.8GHz.

Meanwhile, it has an unspecified Adreno GPU to which Qualcomm didn't say whether it is an upgrade, downgrade, or same performance.

For display support, it can handle FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

On the other hand, the chip gets a slower LPDDR4X RAM and retains UFS 3.1 storage support.

In terms of imaging, the processor can handle up to 84MP camera and up to 32MP Zero Shutter Lag.

Connectivity-wise, the chip uses a slower 5G modem here at 1Gbps download speeds and also has WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 with support for aptX codec.
