The OPPO A3 is the Chinese mobile giant's option for those in need of a stylish, durable, and long-lasting handset without breaking the bank.

The display

The new phone features a durable body boasting US Military-Grade Shock Resistance and an SGS 5-star rating for overall drop resistance. OPPO claims that this phone can survive up to 1.6 meters high accidental drops.

In addition, the phone also has "Multiple Liquid Resistance" including the IP54 dust and water splash. This also has an "industry-leading" Splash Touch technology allowing its screen to be used even when wet.

It is available in Sparkle Black and Starry Purple in the Philippines.

Top-center notch

In front, it uses a 1,000 nits "ultra bright" 6.67-inch 90Hz HD+ screen with China Southern Glass (twice-reinforced) and Panda (twice-reinforced) ensuring that it has a bright and durable display.

Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 with Adreno 610 GPU. OPPO claims that it has reduced latency and enhanced performance when playing games.

It is also paired with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and a large  5,100mAh battery with USB-C 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge and Smart Charging features.

According to the company, it can be charged from 0 to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. The battery is also durable and is promised to perform at around 80 percent capacity even after 4 years of use.

50MP main cam

The device also has a 50MP AF main camera paired with a Flicker Sensor and Turbo Torch flash that has up to 200 percent brightness. In front, it has a 5MP shooter.

The rest of the specs

The handset also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, up to 300 percent loud single speaker, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, and complete GPS bands that could be useful for Waze and Google Maps users—especially Grab, Lalamove, Ankast, and other riders.

It runs on the Android 14 operating system with 36-month Fluency that promises a "like new" performance even after 3 years of continuous use.
