Apart from the unveiling of the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro, the brand also introduced the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.
Among the highlights is the tough build quality of the body. Redmi says the 4 corners of the device get reinforcements against impacts while inside it is cushioned with polymer, rubber, or foam which should absorb the energy when you accidentally drop the phone.
The display also received upgraded glass protection which is the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 which is seen on high-end or flagship devices.
Anyways, the screen sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED 2712 x 1220 resolution with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, 1920Hz PWM dimming, 12-bit color depth, HDR10+.
Inside, the phone is powered by the 2.5GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen octa-core processor, 12GB/16GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
For battery, the Pro+ version also received a 6,200mAh capacity which is higher from the predecessor's 5,000mAh. Although Redmi tweaked down the charging speed to still speedy 90W HyperCharge from 120W. Another upgrade here is the new silicon-carbon anode battery which is rated to provide high battery health even after 4 years by TUV.
The cameras are also upgraded. This time, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ uses the 50MP f/1.6 Light Fusion 800 sensor with 1/1.55" size and OIS.
It is still partnered with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter however they replaced the macro camera with a 50MP Samsung JN1 2.5x telephoto shooter. For selfies, the phone uses using 20MP OV20B sensor.
Other features are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP66 + 68 + 68 rating dust and water resistance. According to Redmi, it is able to survive being submerged in the pool for 24 straight hours.
For connectivity, the phone uses 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.
For OS, it runs Android 14 with HyperOS on top.

Currently, the device is available only in China. No word yet for a PH release.
