A big win for Nintendo

The developer confirmed the information themselves through its official X account. Nintendo had reached out to Ryujinx's creator "gdkchan" and provided an agreement to cease the project and all related assets.

Yesterday, gdkchan was contacted by Nintendo and offered an agreement to stop working on the project, remove the organization and all related assets, ”said rip in peri peri confirmed in a statement".

To recap, the emulator was launched back in 2017 and now Ryujinx supports over 3,200 playable games on platforms including Windows, Linux, and macOS.

This huntdown from Nintendo follows numerous legal actions against emulators such as Yuzu Emulator which settled to the Japanese firm worth USD 2.4M after claims that "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom" was pirated more than 1 million times.

Currently, if you go to the Ryujinx download page, you will just be greeted by a white blank page which means the developers have complied with Nintendo's demands.

As of this writing, EggNS Emulator on Android is the only one that remains operating. It's only a matter of time before Nintendo makes its move.

What do you guys think?
