Dramacool, the well-known illegal streaming site especially for K-drama lovers, has announced the closure of all its websites.

We are sorry to announce that we will be closing all 5 websites, it said in an announcement. Due to the copyright, we cannot run the sites anymore.

Its websites include Asianc, Dramanice, Watchasia, Runasian, and Asianwiki.

We apologize to every fan that always supported and loved DRAMACOOL. Thank you and Best Regards, it added.

It did not specifically say when the shutdown will be implemented. The Dramacool main website is also still accessible as of writing.

Dramacool statement

Following the announcement, many fans expressed disappointment as they had been relying on the website for years before streaming sites like Netflix were made accessible for many.

However, anything that's illegal is still illegal.
