ROG Phone 9 Series is now official

The brand brings a lot of performance increase on these two devices. As their main spotlight, they now carry the flagship 4.32GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor to support top-tier gaming.

To keep these phones' temperatures low, ASUS upgraded the cooling inside with having 57 percent bigger graphite sheet alongside the new active cooler with more thermal material and bigger fans (Pro only).

Both devices retained the same design including the flat camera bump at the back. They also have the iconic lights at the back with the base variant having 85 LEDs while the Pro version has 648 LEDs. This allows users to customize the design, and add GIFs depending on their styles.

There's another trick for ROG Phone 9 Pro's back display as you can also play retro games like breakout, snake, invaders, and more on it.

That goes the same with the 6.78-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate which can even be maxed on 165Hz for turbo mode. Furthermore, the display also has 2,500 nits of peak brightness, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

The chip mentioned above is paired with 12GB/1GB/24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

For cameras, the phones are equipped with a 50MP Sony LYT-700 main shooter with 6-axis Gimbal stabilization, 13MP ultra-wide sensor + 5MP macro (ROG Phone 9). The Pro variant gets a 32MP 3x telephoto camera with OIS instead of a macro shooter.

For selfies, both are equipped with a 32MP camera with 90-degree FOV.

Other features noted are the 3.5mm audio jack, dual speakers, and IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

Connectivity features are 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, both run Android 15 with ROG UI skin on top.
