Integrating Maya in Customs Operations

Maya Philippines, Inc. (Maya) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) have renewed their memorandum of agreement (MOA), which focuses on modernizing the bureau’s collection processes and improving accessibility for the public.

Under the deal, Maya’s payment gateway platform into the BOC’s operations. This means miscellaneous fees and charges can be settled through various channels, including online checkout, bills payment, PayMaya One POS terminals, and Smart Padala centers. Collection of duties and taxes for goods processed under informal entry procedures via the BOC’s ePayment Portal System is also covered.

The partnership aligns with Customs Memorandum Order No. 06-2024 which governs the implementation of electronic payment systems

With the ability to uphold our respective responsibilities outlined in our MOA, we are well-positioned to meet our collective goals and objectives. The Bureau of Customs looks forward to this collaborative partnership with BTr, DBP, and Maya and anticipates even stronger cooperation among all of us in the near future, BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio said.
