What's new on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

We list the upgrades and changes from last year's Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to the recently launched Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Here are the differences between the S24 Ultra and the S25 Ultra

1. Build and Design - The S25 Ultra features a bigger 6.9-inch screen with a thinner 8.2mm depth and lighter 218 grams. The S24 Ultra is 8.6mm deep and weighs 232 grams. A 14-gram difference should be felt when using the phone all day.

2. SoC - The S25 Ultra now has the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy that is advertised to offer 45 percent single- and multi-core CPU performance, 40 Percent improved GPU performance, and 27 percent power savings.

Thinner but with a larger screen

3. Larger 6.9-inch screen - From a smaller 6.8-inch screen, Samsung increased the screen size by massive 0.1-inch. It does retain the 3120 x 1440 resolution and 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

4. New 50MP ultra-wide camera - The new Ultra comes with a supposedly better 50MP ultra-wide camera from the previous generation 12MP shooter.

Are these enough changes to justify an upgrade from the previous generation?

In the Philippines, the S25 Ultra starts at PHP 84,990 for the 256GB model.
