We worked closely with Google to ensure the newest Chromebook Plus devices enjoy next-generation on-device AI capabilities, superior performance per watt, and immersive multimedia.

The firm says this new SoC uses an all-big-core design: 1x 3.62GHz Cortex-X925, 3x Cortex-X4, and 4x Cortex-A720. It also has an 11-core Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU with Ray Tracing to handle graphics and videos. Moreover, the NPU uses 8th gen tech from MediaTek, which offers up to 50 TOPS of power for AI tasks.

MediaTek claims this setup will deliver efficient power draw, stronger processing, and security. Additionally, it supports LPDDR5X at 8533Mbps memory for that seamless access to data between CPU, GPU, and NPU.

It's also built on a 3nm process by TSMC along with large on-chip caches and MediaTek’s power management, improving performance per watt. This enables thin, fanless Chromebook designs that operate with minimal heat and noise.

Finally, MediaTek stated that the Kompanio Ultra enables smooth multitasking and entertainment, supporting up to two external 4K displays. Its advanced Hi-Fi audio processing enhances call clarity and delivers immersive sound.
