The secret is out. realme today formally introduced the realme GT 7 Series in Paris, France, and these devices will be available in the Philippines too. |
realme GT 7 Dream Edition in Paris |
One of them is a special collaboration smartphone in partnership with Aston Martin called the realme GT 7 Dream Edition, the strongest among the bunch.
At PHP 39,999, the realme GT 7 Dream Edition ranks among the strongest on paper for the price.
Aside from its unique F1 racing-inspired look and the nice, the device is the first to feature the new MediaTek 4nm Dimensity 9400e octa-core processor with up to 3.4GHz clock speed and Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU, a high-end SoC designed to handle even the heavy tasks. They also paired it with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage, and a large 7,000mAh battery with USB-C 120W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
Additionally, the handset is equipped with the IceSense Design, which incorporates Graphene cooling and a 7,700mm² Large Vapor Chamber, effectively lowering temperatures by 6 degrees. This ensures optimal performance, even when handling intensive gaming sessions and demanding applications.
We've been using the device for a few days now, and let's see how fast it is. Here are some of the benchmark scores.
realme GT 7 Dream Edition benchmark scores
AnTuTu benchmark - realme claimed that the handset can record up to 2.2 million points under ideal conditions. I achieved that by turning on the GT mode in the settings and running the benchmark somewhere cool and cold.

Under normal conditions without tinkering with the settings, most users will get around 2 to 2.1 million points.
In comparison, these scores are just a little lower than the 2.5 million of the higher-end Dimensity 9400 chip and the 2.8 million of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Most users won't feel the difference in most of the tasks.
Geekbench - At Geekbench 6, it recorded a Single-Core Score of 2,174 points and a Multi-Core Score of 7,182. This is considered above-average to high for the price, indicating that it has a generally reliable overall performance.

3DMark performance |
3DMark - Wild Life Extreme - The overall I recorded is 5,188 with an average frame rate (FPS) of 31.07. The benchmark app said that it is 95 percent better than all of the other devices tested by the app. Even after running several demanding tasks, the frame rate I was getting is still at 29 FPS.
AI Benchmark - At AI Bench, it recorded a "Fantastic" score of 944 points.

AI and CPDT |
CPDT - It has a Sequential write speed of 636.05 MB/s and a Sequential read speed of 868.21 MB/s. The Random write score is 51.22 MB/s, while the Random read score of 17.75 MB/s. The Memory copy is 12.42 GB/s.
In real life, I was able to run all of the tasks I do as a content creator. All of the social media apps are a breeze, CapCut Pro for editing 4K videos works fast, and I never experienced lag on my day-to-day tasks.
Even on my downtime gaming, no problem. It runs Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on Ultra settings with Ultra High Frame Rate. Genshin Impact runs well on high settings with minimal heating.
The 7,000mAh battery is also legit. I used the phone as my primary photo and video smartphone to take touristy photos in Paris all day, watch a few videos on YouTube, and play a bit of games. The settings are that I am on airplane mode, connected to our hotspot device.
I used the phone from 8 AM to 10 PM. I was left with 52 percent battery capacity. That's insane.
For charging, it can fill the phone to 100 percent in around 40 to 45 minutes using its stock 120W power brick.
