OnePlus Nord 5 launched: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 6,800mAh battery, 50MP selfie camera
Apart from the OnePlus Nord CE 5, the brand also introduced the OnePlus Nord 5.

Big battery and strong chip for Nord Series
The Nord 5 will be available in three color options: Marble Sands, Dry Ice, and Phantom Grey. Additionally, it features an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
The phone sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K Swift AMOLED display featuring a 144Hz variable refresh rate and 3,840Hz PWM dimming technology for improved visual smoothness and reduced eye strain.
Powering the device is the 3.0GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC 8-core chip with Adreno GPU. Memory configurations include up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The device uses a 7,300 mm² VC cooling system with a total heat dissipation area of 32,207 mm² to maintain its performance under heavy loads.
Another highlight upgrade is the 6,800mAh battery paired with a USB-C 80W SuperVOOC fast charging capable of full recharge in under 60 minutes. Furthermore, it comes with bypass charging functionality as well.
The rear camera setup consists of a 50MP main sensor using Sony's LYT-700 with OIS support, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, the device introduces a new 50MP front-facing camera.
Notable features include the replacement of the traditional alert slider with a new Plus key, first seen in the OnePlus 13s. This customizable button provides quick access to sound profiles and AI tools.
Connectivity features are WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and dual SIM.
For OS, the phone runs Android 15 with Oxygen OS 15. OnePlus also commits to 4 years of Android OS updates and 6 years of security updates.
The device also includes Google Gemini integration with a 3-month trial of Google AI Pro for eligible users.

The device is currently available in India. Meanwhile, Digital Walker started teasing the Nord 5 Series hinting of its release in the Philippines.
