24mm and 73mm (3x) zoom food shot |
Moreover, it uses a 50MP f/2.65 Sony IMX882 3x optical zoom camera, helping the device take impressive Portrait shots with minimal distortion and improved edge detection.

2x, 3x zoom |
Its periscope zoom lens paired with the primary shooter also allows the camera phone to enjoy long distance shooting with long-distance shooting, even in challenging conditions like our shots above.

1x, 3x |
The zoom also helps in taking super-close macro snaps that some may find pretty impressive.
At 120x, it helps users see decently what our naked eye can't see.
 |
Some ultra-wide images |
The ultra-wide camera is a surprise and performed better than expected for an 8MP sensor.
 |
Some low light snaps |
Generally, these cameras are great with plenty of details and nice warm colors for touristy shots, cityscapes, food shots, and portraits, among many others.
Even at night, this camera phone can deliver across different focal lengths. Yes, even the ultra-wide camera is good for taking non-moving night shots.
In case it is really dark, it also has the MagicGlow Triple Flash, which also helps in taking high-quality Portrait snaps with a softlight-like effect without external lights.

Good speed and actual performance
 |
AnTuTu, Geekbench, and Wild Life Extreme benchmark scores |
For a camera phone, this handset is fast enough. It uses the 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 octa-core processor with up to 2.5GHz clockspeed, paired with an Adreno GPU paired with 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.
Based on our experience, the overall phone usage is snappy enough for the price. The camera app does not lag, and accessing your favorite modes is instantaneous most of the time.
Even for editing your photos and 4K videos on your favorite app, you won't have issues with this one. It even has a nice cooling system to help prevent the phone from getting hot, especially when taking 4K videos, which is usually the cause of heat on other phones.
By the way, the processor of this one is also responsible for helping optimize the snaps we took above, thanks to its use of a good-quality 12-bit ISP, which allowed the phone to support high-resolution camera sensors and enable using multiple camera lenses simultaneously.
AND yes, this has AI that you can use for AI Erase 2.0 to remove unwanted objects in your shots and AI Ultra Clarity to enhance the sharpness of blurred images.
Large 6,000mAh battery
A good camera phone won't be that fun to use if the battery life is bad. Thankfully, that is not the case with the realme 14 Pro+ 5G, as this is sporting a large 6,000mAh battery capacity.
In our experience, it can last up to two days on a single charge. It has over 10 hours of gaming and over 17 hours of video playback.
When it comes to content creation (taking photos, videos, editing, uploading on social media), I was able to use it for an entire work day (8 AM to 6 PM) with 30 percent left in the tank.
Moreover, it charges via USB-C 80W, which can give it 50 percent of juice in 24 minutes of charge and 100 percent in under 1 hour. With these, you can use the phone after a few minutes of charging to go back to shooting a lot of photos and clips.
Durable build, yet slim and stylish
 |
The phone's back design changes to blue upon interacting in cold environments such as being exposed to aircon, dipping in water, or placing ice on the back |
Despite having all those large camera sensors, big battery capacity, and other capable specs, the realme 14 Pro+ 5G remains stylish, durable, slim, and fairly lightweight.
To recap, the handset uses a color-changing design, ArmorShell with Gorilla Glass 7i for drop-resistance, and class-leading IP69 of dust and water resistance. The result is that it has received TUV Rheinland's Rugged Smartphone Certification and passed the Military Grade Shock-Resistance Test.
