Key features of TECNO SPARK Go 2

Based on specs, it has minimal yet important upgrades coming from the SPARK Go 1 of last year.

First, has a new design with a vertically aligned camera island instead of a semi-rounded one. The device now has better IP64 dust and water resistance, coming from IP54.

The device now has up to 1.5 meters of drop resistance as well, making it more durable on paper.

It is available in  Ink Black, Titanium Grey, Veil White, and Turquoise Green colors.

In addition, the company added the FreeLink tech, allowing calls on connected TECNO devices even without a signal.

The company explains,

In situations where there is no network coverage or the network is weak, such as outdoor adventures, mountain hiking, concerts, underground parking lots and other occasions with poor network conditions, direct communication between Bluetooth devices can achieve two-way voice calls, sending and receiving text & voice messages.

It now has TECNO AI functionalities too. The company said that it now has AI Writing, which includes Text Generator, Proofread, and Summarize, as well as AI Translate.

The rest are almost the same. It still arrived with a 6.67-inch LCD (IPS) screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HD+ resolution, and a top-center punch-hole. Inside, you get the 12nm UNISOC T7250 octa-core processor, which is basically the rebranded UNISOC T615 of the SPARK Go 1.

It has 3GB of RAM (up to 6GB Extended RAM), 64GB or 128GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with up to 20 hours of video playback and USB-C 15W charging.

The handset also features a 13MP main shooter, Rear Dual Flash, side-fingerprint sensor, IR Blaster remote control, stereo speakers, DTS Sound, 4G+ or 4.5G connectivity, and Android 15 operating system.

TECNO also said that it has been certified by TDV, promising a "lag-free" experience for four (4) years.

These specs and features make it a decent ultra-budget smartphone for students and probably first-time smartphone users on a very tight budget.
