AYANEO introduced the Pocket DS Android gaming handheld as an inspiration to the Nintendo DS.

Emulation-focused gaming handheld

The device sports a clamshell design with a dual-screen. The main display uses a 7-inch OLED panel with FHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness, and HDR support.

The secondary display has a 5-inch LCD (IPS) with HD 1024 x 768 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Both screens support quick mode switching, gesture-based content swapping, and AYANEO’s "Focus Lock" feature, which controls input direction. The clamshell design features a metal top shell and a hinge that opens flat to 180 degrees.
Dual display

Inside, the AYA NEO Pocket DS is powered by a Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset with Adreno A32 GPU. This chip has comparable performance to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The chip is also cooled with a PC-grade turbo fan + copper plate system for intense gaming.

It is also paired with an 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 expandable storage for the base model, and can go up to a 16GB and 1TB configuration.

For the battery, the handheld has a massive 8,000mAh, although the charging speed is not disclosed at the moment.

Other features noted are hall-effect triggers, TMR joysticks, ABXY buttons, 2x linear motor for vibration, and stereo speakers.

Connectivity features are WiFi and Bluetooth 5.3.

For software, it runs on Android 13, plus it has AYASpace + AYAHome software and the DS Launcher app for multitasking.
